Warts inside the urethra

Found at the opening and apparently extending inside. Told this needs a different approach. What does that actually involve?

NoteMember experience, not medical advice. Symptoms overlap between infections and only a test can tell them apart.

Warts at that site are usually handled by a urology or specialist clinic rather than with the standard creams, because most topical treatments are not suitable for use inside the urethra.

The options typically involve direct visualisation and physical removal rather than something you apply at home.

Do not improvise with a product intended for external skin. That is the one genuinely risky move here and it is the one people are tempted into when a referral wait is long.

Ask about the waiting time and ask what to do if symptoms change while you wait. Difficulty passing urine is not something to sit on quietly until an appointment arrives.
