Gonorrhea

Sore, sticky eye a few days after a diagnosis

Diagnosed and treated, then developed a very sore eye with a lot of discharge. Is this connected or am I joining dots that are not there?

Seconding urgently. Not a wait for the morning situation if it is painful and producing a lot of discharge.

Go in today rather than posting about it. Gonorrhoea can infect the eye and it can be aggressive, which is why it is one of the situations treated urgently rather than with drops from a pharmacy.

Say that you were recently diagnosed. That single sentence changes what they do.

For anyone reading later: it usually gets there by hand contact. Washing hands after touching the genital area during an active infection is the boring prevention nobody mentions.
