Can gonorrhea affect fertility in men?

Most of what I find about infertility is written for women. Diagnosed last month, treated, and now wondering whether there is a male equivalent nobody mentions.

There is, and it gets far less coverage. Untreated gonorrhoea or chlamydia can cause epididymitis, inflammation of the tube at the back of the testicle, and repeated or severe episodes can occasionally affect fertility.

The word doing the work there is untreated. You were treated last month.

What to watch for is pain or swelling in one testicle, which is a go in now symptom rather than a wait one. It is also the reason nobody should sit at home with testicular pain hoping it settles.

If you are worried enough that it is on your mind weeks later, say so at your retest. A quick examination and a straight answer beats months of searching.
