What is actually in a standard screen where you are?

Curious how much this varies. The list I was given seems shorter than what people describe in other countries.

It varies a lot. The common core almost everywhere is chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV and syphilis. Beyond that it depends on local prevalence and on what the service is funded to do.

Some places add hepatitis B and C routinely, some only for particular groups. Trichomoniasis is routine in some services and only on symptoms in others.

Mycoplasma genitalium is the one that surprises people. Several guidelines specifically advise against screening for it without symptoms, because treating it unnecessarily drives resistance, and it is already a difficult organism to treat.

Ask for the list in writing. Mine was on the results letter and answering this question for myself took about ten seconds once I actually read it.
