Bleeding between periods since the diagnosis

Been spotting mid cycle for a few weeks. Started around the time I tested positive. Related, or am I connecting two unrelated things?

Bleeding between periods and after sex is a recognised symptom of chlamydia, coming from inflammation of the cervix. So it is a plausible connection rather than a coincidence.

What matters is whether it settles after treatment. Bleeding that continues well after a completed course is worth going back about rather than waiting out.

Do mention it even if you assume they already know, because it can be a pointer to the infection having gone further up. That changes what they want to examine.

And it is worth saying that persistent unexplained bleeding deserves a look regardless of the chlamydia. Do not file it under one diagnosis and stop asking.
