Before assuming treatment failure, the question to answer is whether your partner was treated at the same time. Reinfection from an untreated partner is the usual explanation, and it’s so common that clinics generally treat partners as standard rather than as an afterthought.

Go back and say clearly that symptoms returned after treatment. They’ll want to retest rather than just repeat the same course blind.
