Quite a lot, and the follow up isn’t because they doubt it. Fourth generation tests look for both antibodies and an antigen that appears earlier, which is why they detect infection sooner than older antibody-only tests. A negative at four weeks is meaningful and reassuring.
The final test exists to close the door completely. Take it, and then let yourself actually put it down.
