Children in the house, do I need to worry?

Diagnosed and now anxious about my kids, sharing a bathroom and sofas and so on.

Pubic lice are not the same as head lice and they are not spread by sofas and bathrooms. Casual household contact is not the route.

Wash bedding and towels on a hot cycle, which you would be doing anyway, and that is the extent of it.

One thing worth knowing rather than worrying about: if pubic lice are ever found on a child, that is a situation a doctor needs to look at rather than something to treat at home. Not because it always means something, but because it needs proper assessment.

Do not deep clean the house. It achieves nothing here and it is usually anxiety looking for something to do. Treat the people, wash the bedding, stop.
