Genital warts

Cleared and back within weeks

Three rounds of treatment, clear for about a month, and now two new ones. I am losing patience with the whole process.

Recurrence within the first few months after treatment is common and is usually the virus in surrounding skin producing new lesions, not the old ones coming back.

That is not a failure of the treatment. It is what treatment of visible lesions can and cannot do.

Worth asking whether a different approach makes sense at this point. Repeating the same method a fourth time is not the only option, and combinations are sometimes used.

Also worth asking about anything affecting your immune system, including smoking. It is the boring answer and it is the one with real evidence behind it for recurrence.
