Do I tell someone I only had oral sex with?

Going through the notification list and stuck on one person. Nothing penetrative happened. Does that count?

NoteMember experience, not medical advice. Symptoms overlap between infections and only a test can tell them apart.

Yes, tell them. Throat infection is possible in both directions, and because it is almost always symptomless the only way that person finds out is if somebody says something.

They may need a throat swab specifically, which will not happen if they book a standard screen and say nothing.

Include that detail in what you tell them. Saying you should get tested often results in a urine sample and nothing else, which would miss the site that actually matters here.

The clinic notification service will handle this one too if you would rather not. Ask them to include the site information in the message.
