Does my male partner need testing?

I am HPV positive. He wants to get tested and I cannot find anywhere that offers it.

Because in most places it does not exist. There is no approved routine HPV test for men outside specific settings such as anal screening for higher risk groups.

That is not an oversight. A positive result would not change anything that anyone would do, since there is no treatment for the virus itself.

What is useful for him is vaccination if he is eligible, and being aware of anything persistent that needs looking at. That is genuinely the whole list.

The instinct to want a test is completely understandable and the absence of one feels like being fobbed off. It helped me to realise that my own test exists because it leads to a specific action, and there is no equivalent action for him.
