Genital warts

How long between exposure and warts appearing?

Trying to work out who to be upset with and I suspect the answer is nobody, but I would like to understand the timing.

Typically weeks to months, but it can be much longer, and in some cases the virus sits without producing anything at all for a long time before something appears.

This is why working backwards to a specific person almost never produces a reliable answer.

It genuinely is one of the harder ones for timeline reasoning. Most people who carry these types never develop a wart at all, so the absence of warts in a previous partner tells you very little.

I would gently suggest dropping the question. I spent a month on it, got nowhere that was defensible, and the only thing it produced was an argument.
