    Late twenties, recently found out I have HPV. Someone suggested getting vaccinated anyway and I can’t work out whether that makes any sense given I already have it.

Member experience, not medical advice. Symptoms overlap between infections and only a test can tell them apart.

    It can still make sense, because the vaccine covers several types and you’re unlikely to have been exposed to all of them. It won’t treat what you already have, which is the part that gets misunderstood.

    Whether it’s recommended and whether it’s funded for your age varies a lot by country, so that’s a question for your own clinic rather than for us.

    Exactly this. I asked mine and got a clear yes or no in one conversation after weeks of guessing online.
