Told I had it years ago and nothing was done

Going through old records for something unrelated and found a positive trich result from four years ago. I have no memory of being told and certainly no memory of treatment.

NoteMember experience, not medical advice. Symptoms overlap between infections and only a test can tell them apart.

Get tested now rather than trying to reconstruct what happened. Untreated trichomoniasis can persist for years, so it is entirely possible it is still there.

It is also possible it cleared on its own, or that you were treated by antibiotics given for something else, which does happen.

Worth asking the service what their record says about whether you were contacted. Results going astray happens, and if there is a systems problem it is worth them knowing.

Do the current test first and the archaeology second. What matters is whether you have it today, and that is answerable this week.
