Genital warts

Will they come back after the baby is born?

Warts appeared in pregnancy and I have been told they often improve afterwards. Is that real or is it something people say to pregnant women?

It is real and it is commonly observed. Warts often grow during pregnancy and frequently regress or resolve in the months after delivery, which is why treatment is sometimes deferred.

Not guaranteed, but common enough that watchful waiting is a legitimate plan rather than a fob off.

That was my experience. Considerable growth in the third trimester, largely gone by about four months postpartum without any treatment at all.

Do keep the postnatal review though. If they have not settled by then, treating outside pregnancy is simpler because more options are available.
