Practical factors nobody mentions: how far the clinic is, whether you can take time off, and whether you can see the area properly. I chose clinic purely because I could not reach mine reliably.

Mine settled around week three and I had almost convinced myself it would be like that permanently. Tell them anyway, they may just have a practical suggestion about when you take it.

Mine was the timing. I did the second application when I remembered rather than when the box said, which meant the newly hatched ones got a clear run.

Same happened to a friend, weeks of drops before anyone joined the dots. The giveaway was that it kept coming back.

Which is also why a negative result in a male partner should not be used to argue about where it came from. That has caused arguments in more than one thread here.
